Gordon Nagai is an American born in California who was imprisoned at Amache, a Japanese American internment camp in Granada, Colorado, along with his family during WWII under Executive Order 9066.

This video records Gordon's personal experience living in the WWII internment camps. He recounts the emotions and atmosphere in which his family persevered.

Gordon spoke about his experiences to grade school students during the 1990s and 2000s. In 2008, he adapted his speech for adult audiences and now speaks throughout Oregon to all sorts of groups. To reach an even wider audience, he recorded and uploaded this presentation in 2017. Gordon hopes his message, along with other internees' stories, help our nation avoid another tragic blunder under the current political climate of fear.
