West Middle School

Nina Wolpe's visit to 6th and 7th graders at Traverse City West Middle School was an enriching experience for all involved. Reflecting on the visit, Nina expressed, "What an amazing, valuable time we spent together today. I will never forget the wonderful give and take we shared with our questions and our comments." She thanked the students for their engagement with "Two Faces" and their interest in learning about the unjust treatment of Japanese Americans during WWII. Nina read excerpts from the book, led insightful discussions, and shared the promotional video, leaving a lasting impact. Special thanks to teacher Melanie Rizzo for the invitation.
